Part 1
For eleven years I've been greeted by curious eyes above sniffing snouts. Different breeds, colors, and imaginations quick to investigate my arrival. Behind them are the less curious, strutting and socializing about the yard undeterred. My presence won't fascinate any of them for very long, as each seems completely enchanted by the freedom to simply be a dog. And then if I've stayed long enough I can watch those that won't sleep over file out. One tuckered pup after another, prepared for an evening with mom and dad.
