Ipswich is located on the northern coast of Essex County. The town features a robust downtown, gorgeous beaches, and secluded rural lots. There are many local restaurants and businesses to patron and if you'd like to take a look at some peer reviews Yelp has them here.

In 1633 Ipswich was settled by colonists from England originating from a town of the same name. The community grew quickly on the back of fishing and a thriving distillery. In the 1800s the production of stockings also became a leading industry. By 1900 the Ipswich Hosiery Mill was the largest of its kind in the country. You can find a more in depth retelling of Ipswich's history on the visitor website here.

Ipswich has it's own school system for grades K-12. Paul R. Doyon Elementary School and Winthrop Elementary School both hold class for children grades K-5. Ipswich Middle School teaches grades 6-8 and Ipswich High School is the traditional 9-12.
