The town of Rowley is centrally located in Essex County with great commuting lanes for the region. There are also a number of destinations on the town itself both on Route 1 and towards downtown. Check Yelp here for local restaurants and businesses.

Rowley was founded by Rev. Ezekiel Rogers in 1639. The town is named after the Rowley in Yorkshire, England where Rev. Rogers had been a pastor. The original town stretched from the ocean to the Merrimack River or in today?s terms Rowley to Bradford/Groveland. For more information about the history of Rowley visit here.

Rowley is part of the Triton Regional School System with Newbury and Salisbury. Pine Grove Elementary School handles grades 1-6 and is located downtown. Triton Regional High School is located in Byfield. With a middle school and a high school in two different sections of the same building it handles grades 7-12.
